You'll Melt More! (ゆるめるモ!) is a Japanese idol group formed on October 4, 2012, in Tokyo by its producer Taichi Take (田中 大知). The current members are Nerun (ねるん), Nani (なに), Meari (めありー), Heso (へそ), Raki (らき), and Makoto (まこと).
The group’s name comes from the Japanese word yurumeru (緩める), meaning “to loosen” or “relax,” combined with モ!, and carries two meanings: a message about loosening up this restrictive world and the idea of “you’ll melt more, we want to melt you even more.”
Taichi Take who is a freelance writer had no prior experience with producing idol groups, he says that You’ll Melt More! is "a group that I, who barely knew anything about idols, created from scratch on a whim.". He came up with the idea of making an idol group after hearing Momoiro Clover's song 'Pinky Jones,' he was shocked that even idols were making such interesting songs and he started attending their live shows. After a while he became dissatisfied with just being a fan and decided to make his own group.
He started recruiting members not by audition but by scouting and cold approaching girls on the streets of Harajuku, Shibuya, Shinjuku, or Akihabara. He even approached a girl working behind a cash register. He says he often got insulted and it made him depressed but he did not give up. He would try to get contact info of the girls and afterwards send them long emails explaining why he wanted to create an idol group and why he needed her to help to make it happen.
From these efforts he had found 4 members. Kechon, Icchi, Non-chan, and Yumikon who would on October 4, 2012, form the first generation of You’ll Melt More!
Two months after their formation they participated in their first idol live show, no experience, no fans starting all from scratch. They managed their first song however afterwards there was an opportunity to sell merch, the group didn't know this, so they quickly ran to a nearby 100-yen shop to buy shirts, signed them, and sold them for 500 yen each
The start was rough, the members were ordinary girls after all, they were anxious and after just 2 months since debuting Icchi would leave, and after that Yumikon got sick and started taking breaks often. however a new member, Mone, would join in January. In 2013 auditions were held for the 3rd generation members, this time no scouting but with a proper website to recruit. From these auditions members Chiffon, Yonapi, YUISRUS, Ano, and Chibo would join. With founding member Non-chan soon leaving on 17 December 2013 the group would enter a new chapter.
Up to this point Taichi Take has covered the costs of the group by himself. He has stated "I didn't want to produce music just to make money. I wanted to deliver music that I thought was good to the world, and using the idol format was far more effective in spreading it to the world than singing it myself. That was my starting point as a producer, and no matter what situation I found myself in, that feeling never wavered".
With this new formation You’ll Melt More! would release its first full album “Unforgettable Final Odyssey” on July 9, 2014. In an interview with Type, Taichi Take says "The direction of our music is to incorporate cutting-edge music from genres like new wave, hip hop, and post-punk, while maintaining a laid-back atmosphere. At its core is the idea of not conforming to societal trends and leading the times.” This philosophy guides the group's music to this day.
By 2015 the group had grown significantly. Their first nationwide solo tour ended with a sold-out show at Akasaka BLITZ in Tokyo with around 1,200 attendees. That same year they performed at Summer Sonic and Tokyo Idol Festival, and made their international debut with three shows at Manga Festival 2015 in Vietnam.
In 2025, the group celebrated its 13th anniversary and released its sixth studio album Kyomu Dorobo (虚無泥棒) in September of that year.
Former members of You'll Melt More include Itchy (いっちー), Nonchan (のんちゃん), YUISRUS (ゆいざらす), Yumikon (ゆみこーん), Mone (もね), Chibo (ちーぼう), Ano (あの), Younapi (ようなぴ), Kechon (けちょん), Chiffon (しふぉん), and Matsuri (まつり).
