Idol Career
Heso (へそ) is an orange-color member of the Japanese idol group You’ll Melt More! (ゆるめるモ!). She became the group’s orange member on April 14, 2021.
Before joining the group she auditioned for the trainee unit Pupil More! (ぴゅーぴるモ!). She applied for the second generation of trainees after discovering the group through friends and attending one of their live shows. After missing the first recruitment opportunity, she decided to apply for the next audition.
Her early period in the group took place during the COVID-19 era, when live performances were restricted and audiences were not allowed to cheer. She later described this time as a difficult but formative period that shaped her approach to live performance.
Role in Live Performances
Within You’ll Melt More!, Heso often takes responsibility for MC segments and keeping the flow of live shows organized. While the group’s concept allows for loose and chaotic performances, she has described feeling a personal responsibility to keep things structured during concerts.
She has explained that early in her career she often behaved more playfully on stage, but over time she developed the role of being the member who keeps things “tight” during performances.
At the same time, she actively incorporates comedic elements into live shows. The group sometimes performs skits during concerts, and Heso often writes scripts herself. She has said that she wants to make audiences laugh because they came to enjoy the performance.
Comedy and Creative Projects
Comedy has been an important influence for her since childhood. She has mentioned that she once wanted to become a comedian and was inspired by acts such as Tomonori Jinnai, Tokyo 03, and Bakarhythm, particularly their conte-style comedy.
This interest in comedy carries into her idol activities. Together with fellow member Meari, she formed the creative duo project へくしょんめくしょん, where they perform skits and experimental stage pieces.
For these performances she has written scripts and even created handmade props using materials such as cardboard and drawing paper.
Guitar and Musical Development
In recent years Heso has become increasingly interested in playing guitar. She has described 2025 as a turning point for her musicianship.
Her first time presenting guitar on stage was during her birthday live in August 2025, after which she continued practicing regularly.
Later that year she performed guitar again during a band-set performance connected to the group’s 13th anniversary live. She described the appeal of band performances simply as “cool,” and said she enjoys hearing how the group’s songs change when performed with live instruments.
She has also expressed interest in developing her guitar skills further, including learning more advanced playing techniques.
Musical Interests
Heso has spoken about how joining You’ll Melt More! changed her relationship with music. Before joining the group she mainly listened to standard J-pop, but performing at events alongside bands led her to develop a strong interest in live music and band culture.
Her focus when playing guitar is less about technical precision and more about expression, sound, and stage presence.
