Kechon (けちょん) was a former idol from Tochigi prefecture and a founding member of the idol group You’ll Melt More! Kechon joined the group on October 4, 2012 and made her debut on December 29 of the same year, she represented the purple colour in the group.
In a Ototoy interview she explained that she was originally a maid in Akihabara and she got approached by Taichi Take and asked if she wanted to become an idol. She was initially distrustful of the producer but because she felt unsure about her future she saw it as an opportunity. So, she decided to muster up her courage and go along with it. She arrived 30 minutes late to the meeting place and the other girls already had arrived, before she knew it, they had started filming. She found it fun and decided to stay.
Kechon had stated that she considered leaving the group at her birthday live show in 2014 but You’ll Melt More! had become larger than she had expected so she decided she wanted to celebrate her birthday with them again the next year and decided not to graduate.
Kechon feels a sense of fulfilment from being on the stage, she had never imagined dancing and singing in front of a large audience and she was nervous at first, but she enjoyed it.
A tip Kechon has given to fans who don’t know what to do is to find something you are even slightly interested in, and pursue that, explore it in depth and you will find what you want to do. She also wants people who are hesitating about continuing something to not give up. By not giving up you will make new discoveries and be able to do things you weren’t able to do before, so continuing is important
Besides her activities with You’ll Melt More! she has also appeared in gravure photoshoots like in TRASH-UP vol.20, of which she has posted some pictures herself. She also does art and sells some of her designs online.
On July 1, 2021 it was announced Kechon along with Chiffon would graduate on October 10 of that year. In her message she says that she has seen many members come and go and that she thinks the current member are shaping the future of You’ll Melt More! After 9 years with
