Chiffon (しふぉん) is a former member of the idol group You'll Melt More! and was also a founding member of the group APOKALIPPPS. She joined You’ll Melt More! as a 3rd-generation member after an audition on September 21, 2013, and represented the color red.
In an interview published in TOWN WORK Magazine, Chiffon stated that when she was in high school, she was surrounded by many people who were in bands, which sparked her interest in music. At first, she was not particularly interested in becoming an idol, but after being inspired by the idol group Momoiro Clover Z, she wanted to test her potential and began considering that path. After her audition for You’ll Melt More!, she attended one of the group’s performances. Although there was only one person in the audience, she found the performance very impressive and decided to join.
In the same interview, she spoke about her struggles with communication. She tends to be blunt and say what is on her mind, which sometimes causes misunderstandings and unintentionally hurts people. However, after performances, fans often tell her that they appreciate her honesty and understand what she is trying to convey, for which she is grateful.
Besides her activities with You’ll Melt More!, she was also a founding member of the idol group APOKALIPPPS, with which she debuted on August 27, 2017. She graduated a little over a year later, on November 30, 2018.
On July 1, 2021, it was announced that Chiffon, along with Kechon, would graduate on October 10 of that year. In her statement, she explained that the eight years she spent with the group were precious to her, and she thanked her fans for supporting her and helping her grow as an idol.
After graduating from You’ll Melt More!, she became the producer of the idol group Yummyummy!!!, a role she held until the group disbanded on March 7, 2023.
Chiffon has since married and become a mother. She is currently working as CIO for a project called “From the Stage to the Business World: An Idol’s Challenge in Business Succession!!,” which aims to support idols in transitioning to their next careers after graduation.
