Nerun (ねるん) is a Japanese idol and member of the idol group You’ll Melt More! (ゆるめるモ！), where she represents the colour pink. She joined the group on February 7, 2020, after previously being part of the trainee unit Pupil More! (ぴゅーぴるモ！).
Nerun was already a fan of You’ll Melt More! before joining and felt connected to its message. When she saw there were auditions, she became interested in joining. At first, she thought she would not get in and ignored it, but after some consideration she applied just before the deadline.
Shortly before becoming an official member of You’ll Melt More!, Nerun formed a duo called Nani’n’Nerun? with fellow trainee Nani. The duo was created to help them gain performance experience, and they still perform together occasionally.
When she joined the official group, there were still three senior members, Younapi, Chiffon, and Kechon, who supported the group and helped lead it. However, within two years they had all graduated, leaving Nerun and Nani as the most senior members. This sudden shift made her worry about the group; she felt that “the group is in trouble” and that “if things continue like this, it will all end.” As a result, Nerun felt she had no choice but to take action and speak up more within the group.
Nerun truly loves You’ll Melt More! and their music. She explains that she works at a dental clinic where she has to follow standard procedures and “act” as if she is speaking properly to patients, but that is not her true self. Within You’ll Melt More!, she feels she can be herself more fully.
In addition to her activities with You’ll Melt More! and Nani’n’Nerun?, Nerun also has a solo project called NerunPokuPoku (ねるんポクぽく). Through this project, she creates her own music and merchandise, giving her the opportunity to express her creative side.
Nerun cares deeply about her fans and says they are her main reason for continuing her activities. Looking ahead, she wants more people to know about her and understand her better, saying, “It’s a shame not to know me.”
