Formation and Background
Nani’n’Nerun? (なにぬねるん?) is a duo project created by Nani (なに) and Nerun (ねるん) from the Japanese idol group You’ll Melt More!. The project began shortly after the two joined the group and allows them to perform together as a smaller unit while continuing their activities with the main group.
Musical Style and Identity
The duo is known for its playful and slightly anarchic style, often combining catchy electronic pop with humorous and lighthearted performances. Their songs are typically short and energetic, reflecting the duo’s quirky personalities and the experimental spirit often associated with You’ll Melt More! side projects.
Early Activities
Nani’n’Nerun? held their first live performance on February 2, 2020, shortly before the two officially joined You’ll Melt More! as full members. Later that year they began releasing original music, including their debut song Boys Be Anarchy (ボーイズビーアナーキー), a bright electropop track accompanied by a playful music video filmed outdoors.
Releases and Performances
Over the years the duo has continued to release new songs such as Zigzag ECG (ジグザグ心電図) and International Playgirls (インターナショナルプレイガールズ) while performing at events and live shows. The project functions as a creative outlet for both members, giving them space to explore fun concepts and perform as a duo while remaining part of the larger You’ll Melt More! group.
