Meari (めあり) is a Japanese idol and member of idol group You’ll Melt More! (ゆるめるモ！) where she represents the colour blue. She joined the group in April 2021, after previously being part of the trainee unit Pupil More! (ぴゅーぴるモ！).
Meari is half British and a cheerful person who loves being the center of attention, she loves singing and dancing. When she was in elementary school she loved watching idols and got into idol-themed anime and also Kpop idols.
She first found out about You’ll Melt More! through a family member, she would attend a live-show and thought "They're so cool...!", so when she came across information about the trainee recruitment while browsing the internet she applied, though she did not know much of their songs. In her time at Pupil More! she started to memorise the songs and scoured social media, she ended up becoming an otaku herself and her feeling of wanting to join You’ll Melt More! grew stronger.
As an idol she at first felt restricted because she felt it was her job so she needed to do this properly, but overtime she got more comfortable and now she feels like she can be herself.
Outside her activities with You’ll Melt More! she also forms a duo unit with Shinonome Kozue of BELLRING Shoujo Heart, they are called “Babywiper or Gangster” which she enjoys a lot. She also forms a duo called Hekushon Mekushon (へくしょんめくしょん) with Heso where they perform old You’ll Melt More! songs and do skit-like performances.
In the future Meari would like to appear in other media besides singing, she is interested in modeling as well. Through these activities she wants to make You’ll Melt More! better known.
