Sakuraba Haruka (桜庭遥花) is a Japanese idol and member of the idol group CUTIE STREET as well as the duo PiKi. She represents the color pink within the group.
She was born on January 29, 2006, in Hokkaido, Japan. As the youngest member of CUTIE STREET, she is often described as having a calm, gentle presence, and she is said to have an INTP personality type.
Before her debut, Haruka participated in the survival audition program Produce 101 Japan The Girls in 2023, where she ranked 19th overall. Although she did not make her debut through the show, the experience became a major turning point in her life, strengthening her resolve to pursue an idol career and pushing her to further develop her performance skills.
After the program, she briefly worked part-time at a ramen shop in her hometown while continuing to pursue her dream. She later joined ASOBISYSTEM’s KAWAII LAB. project and debuted as a member of CUTIE STREET in 2024.
Haruka has spoken about how her childhood included a mix of active outdoor play, basketball in middle school, and an early interest in dance through a high school dance club. She was also introduced to idols through the anime Aikatsu! and grew up admiring AKB48, especially Mayu Watanabe, whom she still respects deeply.
Her hobbies include reading manga and novels, and she is especially passionate about manga such as Haikyuu!!, Saiki K., One Piece, and Attack on Titan. She has said that manga and anime have long been an emotional refuge for her and continue to help her maintain balance in her life as an idol.
She is also skilled at playing the electone and is known for her ability to sleep for long periods, a trait she jokingly mentions herself. One of her unique talents is an accurate Pikachu imitation.
Haruka admires senior idol groups such as FRUITS ZIPPER and hopes that CUTIE STREET will one day perform at the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen. Her charm point is her soft, “cotton candy-like” voice combined with her gentle appearance, which contrasts with a stronger inner determination that she herself describes as “sharp” in personality, even if it is not always visible.
As the youngest member of the group, she sometimes struggles with self-doubt and tends to keep her worries to herself, but she finds support in her members, staff, and her personal interests. Looking ahead, she has expressed interest in voice-related work such as voice acting, and continues to aim for larger stages and festivals as CUTIE STREET grows.
