Matsumoto Karen

Matsumoto Karen (松本かれん) is a Japanese idol and founding member of the idol group FRUITS ZIPPER and the idol duo PiKi. She represents the colour Baby Pink.

Karen majored in piano at a music university and has been learning piano since she was 4 years old, she is also able to play the drums because she was in the brass band in junior highschool.

Before becoming an idol Karen was gaining popularity on TikTok. Her hobbies are visiting cafes, collecting cosmetics and playing with the family cat. She also has two younger brothers.

She had no experience in singing and dancing prior to joining FRUITS ZIPPER so she practised a lot at home.

She says that the person who influenced her the most as a performer is her vocal coach. When she first started to learn to sing she would often say things like “I can’t do it” but her coach taught her to try even if she couldn’t do it and it made singing fun for her.

Her charm point is her chubby cheeks and her goal is to become the cutest idol.
