Otoha Ohara (大原乙葉) is a Japanese idol and founding member of the idol group AVAM, where she represents the color red.
Otoha describes her “little devil” concept as being more human-like compared to the other members, who each have more distinct fantasy-style themes. She does not see herself as having a highly specialized persona, but instead embraces a more natural and somewhat timid character. Her red hair also contributes to her visual image as a “little devil.”
As a performer, Otoha places strong importance on connection with fans during live shows. She has stated that she always looks at fans holding red penlights, even in large venues, using them as a guide so she can evenly make eye contact across the audience. She believes that eye contact during performances creates a strong emotional connection and wants fans to feel that attending a live show was meaningful. She is also confident that she is truly seeing each fan, not just randomly looking around.
Otoha has a habit of reflecting on her thoughts at night. She lights candles and writes down what she is currently thinking in a notebook, using it as a way to organize her mind rather than keeping a traditional diary.
Otoha tends to be more indoor-oriented, often spending her days off at home, but she does not dislike outdoor activities. She has said she enjoys the idea of spending quiet time at places like the sea or grassy areas. She is also interested in travel and camping.
She has an interest in creative work, especially fashion and design. She has taken part in planning her own birthday event visuals, including goods, flyers, and overall concepts. She also writes down her thoughts regularly at night, which she hopes may one day help her expand into songwriting and other creative fields.
Looking ahead, Otoha’s goals with AVAM include performing at Tokyo Dome, appearing at music festivals, and having dedicated displays and special sections in CD shops. She also hopes the group can host a radio program such as All Night Nippon.
