AVAM (アベアム) is a Japanese idol group under LIVE PLANET whose concept is described as “a grace period for our adulthood.” The group began in October 2021 as OdAkEi IDOL PROJECT, produced by singer-musician OdAkEi, then took on YouTuber Mikki as co-producer in April 2022 and was renamed MiKiOdA IDOL PROJECT. After both producers left, the project system ended on December 5, 2022.
Following discussions among the members, it was decided that they would continue activities as a new group under the same lineup. This led to the formation of AVAM, a name derived from the Latin word “ave” (meaning “hello” or “farewell”) combined with “am” from “moratorium,” symbolizing a “grace period before becoming adults.” The group’s concept reflects the idea of “wanting to be loved” and “the time between youth and adulthood.”
AVAM officially debuted on April 4, 2023, with their first live performance “debut LIVE ‘Grace Period’” at Shirokanetakanawa SELENE b2 in Tokyo, marking a fresh start after approximately one and a half years of preparation. Management remained under LIVE PLANET Inc. Their official catchphrase is 『あたしはキミに愛されたい』, which translates to "I want to be loved by you"."
In 2024, AVAM celebrated their first anniversary with the sold-out solo live “R-Majesty” at KT Zepp Yokohama, themed around gothic horror. Later that year, they held their second solo live “LAND of MiRRORS” at Toyosu PIT in Tokyo, inspired by Alice in Wonderland, which also sold out. In November 2024, they launched their first television program “AVAM-chan no Toriko ni Naaare ♥” on TOKYO MX and BS NTV.
On April 17, 2025, they held their 2nd anniversary live “Devil Up!” at Zepp DiverCity. In May 2025, AVAM joined the idol development project I NEW MATES, which also began auditions for a sister group. The project later produced new units such as CURE’T (debuted November 2025) and VVSiS (debuted January 2026).
In September 2025, AVAM held their third one-man live series “LITTLE SEACRET / LITTLE SEACRET -twisted world-” in Tokyo and Osaka.
