Takanashi Ami (小鳥遊あみ) is a Japanese idol and founding member of the idol group AVAM, where she represents the color green. Her nickname is “Amichan (あみちゃん),” which can be heard in the song “あたしはキミに愛されたい! / I Want to Be Loved by You!”, where she is affectionately addressed.
Ami previously ran a gaming YouTube channel, and she is known for her strong interest in video games. Her favorite games include Pikmin, Capybara Go!, VALORANT, and Dragon Quest. She also enjoys casual mobile games she discovers through ads, often trying them out on impulse. Her favorite character is Snorlax.
Ami says she dislikes going outside, in the morning she wakes up early and lays in bed gaming, she says its helps her wake up properly. Her specialty is dieting, she says she is very strict with herself when it comes to that. She prefers to do it indoors so she walks around her living room and she also tries to move whilst gaming by pedaling with her legs.
When asked about how she changed after joining AVAM, Ami says that she has become better at overcoming things, she used to give up easily, but she now realises that there are many ways to approach things, she now asks different members for their perspective whenever she worries about something.
Ami did not originally want to become an idol, she wanted to be in entertainment though. When she thought about what she wanted to do in entertainment she would always come back to wanting to make people happy. And she felt like she could do that as an idol, now she feels strongly that she wants to succeed with AVAM.
For Ami it is important that the audience enjoys themselves and leave with all kinds of emotions. She does her best to give everything she can express and goes all in on stage. She feels that otherwise her performance won’t reach people. Within the group Ami is the big sister type, and other members sometimes call her the virgin Mary (聖母) because she speaks slowely.
In the future Ami would like to perform on even bigger stages and she wants to continue acting. She has appeared in various stage plays and she feels she is growing from overcoming the challenges on stage.
