Shinonome Sora (東雲青空) is a Japanese idol and founding member of the idol group AVAM, where she represents the color blue. Her nickname is “Sorachi (そらち),” which can be heard in the song “あたしはキミに愛されたい! / I Want to Be Loved by You!”, where she is affectionately referred to. She also has a pet ferret, which she takes care of daily. She also attended a culinary department in school.
She previously was a founding member of the idol group MiST, she left the group on June 17, 2021 for undisclosed reasons.
In interviews, Sora has mentioned that she admires former idol-turned-artist Ano, whom she has loved since her high school years. Initially, she was drawn to Ano’s vibe and appearance, but over time she also became a fan of her music and continues to collect her merchandise.
Another major influence on her life is the anime series Hunter×Hunter, particularly the character Killua. Sora has described having a strong “crush-like” admiration for him during her childhood and even behaved like an intensely devoted fan. As she grew older, this shifted into more maternal, protective feelings toward the character, though her affection for the series itself remains strong.
When reflecting on her growth since joining AVAM, Sora explained that she used to be emotionally fragile and would often cry easily, struggling with low self-confidence. She gradually changed this by setting small, achievable goals and steadily accomplishing them, which helped her build confidence and improve her self-esteem over time.
On stage, Sora believes the most important thing is to genuinely look like she is enjoying herself. She emphasizes that maintaining a real sense of fun during performances is essential, even when the choreography is physically demanding and exhausting.
Sora’s performance style is active and she jokes about jumping five times more often than other members.
In the future, she hopes to perform at major events such as TGC (Tokyo Girls Collection) together with all AVAM members, and to continue the group’s TV show “AVAM-chan no Toriko ni Naare ♡” into a third season. She also shares YouTube appearances with fellow member Tsukimi Noa (月深乃絢).
