Yubiningyou (唯美人形) is a Japanese idol group formed on June 26, 2022, operating under the agency Porulet and releasing music through Lys Label, with their official debut taking place on July 7, 2022. The group's name references 唯美主義 (aestheticism), a philosophy centred on beauty and artistic expression, which forms the basis of their concept, often described as "dolls living in an aesthetic world." Their visual style, stage presentation, and music videos reflect this theme, combining gothic imagery with a theatrical atmosphere.
Yubiningyou's music blends J-pop with darker alternative influences, combining melodic pop structures with a more dramatic tone. A defining element of their identity is their stage persona: during performances, members maintain a solemn, doll-like presence, often avoiding smiling or speaking between songs, reinforcing the group's concept and creating a distinctive live atmosphere. Their lyrics and visual presentation are deliberately open to interpretation rather than delivering direct messages, encouraging listeners to engage with the themes and imagery in their own way. Most of the group's music has been written and produced by Hide Shimamura, whose work contributes to their theatrical sound and consistent musical direction.
Following their debut, the group released their first singles Kuro Budō (黒葡萄) and Gyaku Kaiten Mokuba (逆回転木馬) on November 26, 2022. Subsequent releases included Chiisana Rakuen (小さな楽園) in April 2023 and San San Rondo (さんさんろんど) in July 2023. On December 25, 2023, the group released their first extended play, Kage to Kage no Rendezvous (影と影のランデヴー), establishing their musical direction and expanding their presence within Japan's alternative idol scene.
Yubiningyou has undergone several lineup changes since its formation. Earlier members Kogarashi Meno, Natsume Rico, and Takada Momo graduated between 2023 and early 2024, after which Shizuki Nana and Aoi Melissa Mika appeared as support members from January 2024 before becoming full members in July of that year. Mizuki Louis joined in August 2025, but left in March 2026. In December 2025, the group released the single Himitsu (秘密), one of the first major works from the current lineup, followed by Kachōfugetsu (花鳥風月) on February 28, 2026. The group remained active with live performances during this period, including a solo theatre performance in February 2026 and a solo concert at Shibuya WWW in Tokyo on April 15, 2026.
