Ebiichi Hinata (海老一陽南) is a Japanese idol and a member of the idol group THE PINK MINDS, where she represents the colour Midpure Pink. She joined the group on 11 November 2023, when it was still a trainee group called TOKYO PINK MINDS.
Her name “Hinata” was given by her mother with the hope that she would shine brightly like the sun and bring warmth to others. Her nickname “Ebi” (shrimp) was given to her by Seiko Oomori during a LINE exchange after she mentioned liking shrimp.
Hinata enjoys going to concerts and often attends them in her free time. She also regularly hosts voice streams on X, which she initially started to promote live shows, but continued after fans shared that hearing her speak in real time made them feel comforted.
She is known for her earnest and hardworking personality. Although she does not consider herself naturally talented, she makes up for it by carefully observing others and steadily improving. She is highly responsible and disciplined, often preparing well in advance and taking her work seriously. At times, she can be self-critical and emotionally intense, especially when she feels she has not performed to her own expectations.
Despite describing herself as somewhat contradictory and prone to overthinking, Hinata is also humble and kind, able to openly recognise and praise the strengths of others. She has a surprisingly bold side as well, expressing interest in challenges such as bungee jumping and waterfall training.
Watching idols who continue striving for greater heights motivates her, and she hopes to live a life she can look back on as “cool.” Her goal is to succeed with THE PINK MINDS and perform at major venues such as Budokan and outdoor stages.
