Amane Taruto (天音たると) is a member of the Japanese female idol group Pupa!! (ピューパ‼︎) and a former founding member of idol group Bambi→ni, where she performed under the name "Taruto" (たると). She is one of the central members of Pupa!! and has the longest entertainment experience within the current lineup. Although she did not originally aim to become an idol, she has remained active in entertainment across multiple projects.
The stage name "Taruto" comes from her personal background. She began working in maid café-related activities in 2016 and was originally aiming to become a pâtissier, so she chose a sweet-themed name with a pleasant sound, leading to "Taruto" (tart). The surname "Amane" was introduced through Pupa!!, and while there was initially an alternate reading, the current form "天音たると" was settled after some adjustments.
She graduated from both high school and university and obtained qualifications as a librarian and museum curator, though she ultimately pursued entertainment and idol work instead.
Her first group Bambi→ni began in March 2016 and disbanded on November 14, 2016. The group held a one-day revival performance on May 23, 2017 at あーめろ生誕祭.
In a personal note she wrote that she sees suffering as the baseline of life, with joy and happiness being extras on top, and that her goal is to make the most of it before the long sleep.
She is part of the core trio that kept Pupa!! going through major structural changes, including the departure of their producer and internal restructuring. During this period the group kept pushing forward through live performances, including a one-man show at Shibuya WWW. On the group's name spreading partly through mixed impressions, she has said that being known is more important than not being known. Fan support during this difficult period was something she has described as a shared experience of overcoming challenges together.
She notes that with different composers now contributing individual works, the group has greater musical diversity while maintaining its identity.
Outside of group activities she has participated in gravure and swimsuit modeling, including appearances at events such as the Kindai Mahjong Swimsuit Festival, as a way of increasing visibility for herself and the group and attracting new audiences. She has expressed interest in expanding her solo activities further, and has also developed an interest in songwriting, stating a desire to pursue music creation alongside her core motivation of singing.
Her broader goals include growing the group's recognition, performing at larger venues, achieving sold-out shows, and continuing to expand opportunities for collaboration and live performances.
